The Arts with the Disabled Association Hong Kong invites you to participate in their flagship event—the Open Call for Inclusive Arts Performances. This event aims to provide a platform for artists with disabilities to showcase their artistic talents, promote the development of inclusive arts, and raise public awareness of their diverse abilities. They welcome everyone to come together through performances in dance, theater, music, traditional Chinese arts, multimedia arts, and cross-disciplinary collaborations, bringing together people from different backgrounds, across all abilities, and from diverse cultures to jointly present a diverse artistic extravaganza.

Performance

Details

Event (1): Opening Ceremony and Warm-up Performances for the Diverse and Inclusive Arts Showcase

  • Date & Time:  Approximately 6:00 PM,  25 March 2027 (Thursday)
  • Venue: Grand Theatre Lobby, Xiqu Centre, West Kowloon Cultural District
  • Performance Duration: Approximately 5 to 7 minutes (per act)
  • Genre: Primarily music-related performances

Event (2): Diverse and Inclusive Arts Showcase

  • Date & Time:  Approximately 7:00 PM,  25 March 2027 (Thursday)
  • Venue: Grand Theatre Lobby, Xiqu Centre, West Kowloon Cultural District
  • Performance Duration: Approximately 5 to 15 minutes (per act)
  • Genre: Open (e.g., music, dance, theater, etc.)

Event (3): Chinese Cultural Performance

  • Date & Time:  3:00 PM / 7:00 PM (to be confirmed),  27 March 2027 (Saturday)
  • Venue: Tea House Theatre, Xiqu Centre, West Kowloon Cultural District
  • Performance Duration: Approximately 5 to 10 minutes (per act)
  • Genre: Open (e.g., music, dance, theater, etc.)

Eligibility &

Application

  • Applicants must be individuals with disabilities who hold a Hong Kong Identity Card and may apply either as individuals or on behalf of an organization
  • Applicants under the age of 18 must obtain consent from a parent or legal guardian, who must sign a confirmation form to participate.
  • Each applicant or team may submit only one performance application and must indicate their preferred performance category and production budget on the application form
  • Please email the completed printable application form (Chinese version only) and a video of your work to the Programs Department at the Arts with the Disabled Association Hong Kong (Email address: katherinelam@adahk.org.hk) or fill out the online application form (Chinese version only)

Due Date

  • 5:00 PM, 30 October 2026 (Friday)
  • The selection committee will evaluate entries based on criteria such as relevance to the theme, artistic merit, technical skill, and creativity
  •  Finalists will be notified separately and will receive artist and production grants
