SENtastic Award Ceremony

 

 

We are excited to announce  that nominations for the SENtastic Staff Award are open now. 

 

This award is established to recognize and appreciate the exceptional efforts of our faculty and staff members who go above and beyond to support students' overall well-being, diverse learning needs, and special educational needs.

 

Objectives:

Recognition: To openly recognize and appreciate faculty/staff members who demonstrate consistent exceptional care and support for students' overall well-being, learning experience, and special educational needs at HKUST.

 

Sharing Best Practices: To create a platform for sharing good practices among teaching and supporting staff, motivating them to continue providing care for students.

 

Community Building: To cultivate a positive and mutually supportive environment within the community.

 

Call for Nominations:

We sincerely invite all students, faculty, and staff members at HKUST to participate in the nomination process. Your nomination honors colleagues, whether academic or non-academic staff, who have made significant contributions to students’ personal development and/or enhanced their overall learning experience at HKUST, especially those who have supported students with special educational needs.

 

As a token of appreciation to recognize the efforts,  awardees will receive a special prize. The awardees will be invited to participate in the SENtastic Award Ceremony on 15 April 2025 (Tuesday). Further details will be provided to the awardees upon selection.

 

Nominator Eligibility:

• All current students, teaching, and non-teaching staff at HKUST
• Each HKUST member could submit maximum 2 nominations
• Self-nominations will not be accepted

 

Nominee Eligibility:

• All current academic or non-academic staff members and/or current HKUST students who have:
  • Made a positive impact on students’ /peers' personal lives
  • Facilitated students’ /peers' overall learning experience
  • Supported students’ /peers' special educational needs at HKUST

Judges:

Representatives from the University Communities
