Job Description

  • This job opportunity focuses on the project to produce an online AEE Canvas course for HKUST faculty
    titled “Learning from Experience - Understanding SEN through Student Self-Advocates”

  • This role is designed to be flexible - both in its format (combining in-person and remote work) and in its scope, which can be tailored to the intern's unique strengths and interests


    Project responsibilities 

  • Brainstorming and identifying key SEN-related teaching and learning tips from a student perspective

  • Creating original content, such as writing narrative segments, developing case studies, or drafting reflective exercises for faculty

  • Designing supporting materials (e.g., infographics, discussion prompts, or faculty activity guides)

  • Contributing to multimedia production (e.g., assisting with video editing, conducting interviews, or creating simple animations)

  • Proposing and implementing new ideas to enhance the existing course structure and its content

  • Oversee the final edit of the course

Requirements 

  • Current undergraduate student in any discipline

  • Students who have SEN are highly welcome and invaluable to this project's mission

  • A creative, communicative, and reflective student with a strong interest in education and advocacy 

  • A high level of  willingness to engage critically with personal and collective learning experiences

  • Good command of English

  • (Strongly Preferred) A student enrolled in, or with experience related to, the SENtastic Leaders Program

  • (Preferred) Experience or interest in multimedia content creation
