MTR Summer Internship - Talent Wise Programme 2025

MTR Corporation Limited is inviting applications from students of the local tertiary-level educational institutions for the MTR Summer Internship Programme. The programme provides interns opportunities to gain valuable experience and professional networking in a dynamic business environment with various disciplines ranging from railway operations, railway and property development projects, property management, business development, commercial and marketing and other support functions. Throughout the programme, the employer will support the interns to develop new skills and broaden their exposure which will enable them to better prepare for the future transition from study to work and understand their career interests. Orientation will be provided to facilitate interns' understanding of the company's business, strategies, values and operations.

Interns who demonstrate high performance and potential will be provided with a conditional offer for MTR Graduate Development Programmes after satisfactory completion of the relevant assessment.

Requirements

Students pursuing a Degree / Associate Degree / Higher Diploma or equivalent
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Good communication skills in English and Chinese
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Knowledge of other programming and data analysis tools is an advantage

Separate quotas for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)

Separate quotas are offered to students with SEN for the summer internship programme. MTR will try best to match the position in accordance with the discipline the students come from and their SEN. MTR supervisors will be assigned to students once matched during the internship programme from July to August 2025.

Application procedure and due date

1. Complete the online application via the MTR website on or before 2 March 2025 (Sun).

MTR will contact the students after receiving their summary of information and online applications for further announcements and updates (e.g., interviews).
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to undergo an online assessment via email in March / April 2025.

2. Email sen@ust.hk with the below information by 2 March 2025 (Sun):

Name in full
HKUST student ID
Name of Program (e.g., BBA in Marketing)
Email (must be same as the online application)
Contact no.
Available period to work between July and August 2025
Type(s) of SEN
Request for special arrangement/accommodation in the internship programme
Consent to use of personal information: I hereby consent to the Career Center and SEN Support of HKUST to submit my personal information listed above to the MTR Corporation Limited before I complete the online application for the MTR Summer Internship Programme for University Students with SEN 2025. All information collected will be treated in strict confidence and used for recruitment purpose only.

Remarks: Both items # 1 & 2 must be completed accordingly to be eligible for the selection process. Missing either one will be considered as an invalid application for the separate quotas for students with SEN.
