Cross All Borders 2027: Hong Kong Competition of Showcasing New Performing Artists with Disabilities

Cross All Borders (CAB) is one of the flagship arts development programs of Arts with the Disabled Association Hong Kong (ADAHK). Established in 2009, the program has been dedicated to discovering and nurturing local artists with disabilities and has grown into one of Hong Kong’s most representative arts initiatives in disability arts. Through its annual alternating Visual Arts Competition and Performing Arts Competition, the program provides artists with professional development opportunities, encouraging them to realize their potential, connect with the community through the arts, and contribute to the sustainable development of inclusive arts. 

 

Eligibility

• Hong Kong residents (with Hong Kong resident identification documents)
• Any person with a disability, with no age limit

 

Categories

• Individual
• Group (At least half of the team members must be persons with disabilities)

 

Performance Format

Any forms of performance:

• Music Instrument(s), Voice, Chinese Traditional Theater, Dance, Drama, Mime, Puppet, Lion Dance, Multi-media, Kung Fu, Magic, Movements, etc.

 

Adjudication Panel

The adjudication panel will comprise local art professionals who will be in charge of the selection of shortlisted and award-winning artists.

• The Most Outstanding Artistic Achievement Award
• The Most Outstanding Performer Award

• The Most Promising Award

Award winners will be invited to participate in a Mentorship Program, where they will have opportunities to engage with established artists and receive professional guidance. 

 

Application Methods 

Please submit your application by 5:00 PM on 20 November 2026 (Friday).  Participants must submit the application form together with a video recording of the performance (on DVD, as a video file, or via a cloud storage link), as well as all relevant supporting documents and information.
